Real Results. No Gimmicks. Just Experience
At DK9S, we don’t follow trends. We don’t hand out treats and hope for the best. We don’t recite theories from a manual.
We get real results — because we’ve lived this life.
With over 40 years of hands-on experience, Angie Taylor has helped thousands of dogs and families overcome behavioral challenges like reactivity, aggression, anxiety, and more. Long before certifications became popular, Angie was already training dogs, horses, goats — even a house-trained goat who learned to ask to go outside like a dog. Her work is instinctive, honest, and grounded in a deep understanding of animal behavior.
DK9S Canine Rehabilitation and Custom Training began with a moment that would shape Angie’s life forever: her father brought home eight Dalmatian puppies that were scheduled to be euthanized. That one act of compassion ignited her lifelong passion for rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned dogs. It was the start of a mission — and a legacy — built on love, trust, and second chances.
Angie went on to breed German Shepherds for over 25 years, raise Shelties, train horses for real families, and help people — and animals — rebuild confidence together. Her programs today focus on resolving the toughest cases that others often can’t — all using her deep, intuitive methods and calm leadership style.
“I’ve worked with quadriplegic riders, terrified teenage girls, biting dogs, and even abandoned animals no one else would take in. This isn’t about fancy titles. This is about doing the hard work — and getting results.”
If you’ve already spent thousands and still don’t have a peaceful home — you haven’t failed. You just haven’t found the right help yet.
Welcome to DK9S. This is where the healing be
Driven by a deep-rooted love for animals and a lifelong desire to make a difference, Angie began her journey by helping dogs others had given up on — those misunderstood, neglected, or abandoned through no fault of their own.
While DK9S is not a formal rescue organization, Angie has never turned her back on a dog in need. With tireless commitment and compassion, she has dedicated her life to giving these animals a second chance — whether through rehabilitation, rehoming, or simply helping families learn to understand and manage their dogs with confidence and care.
Her work has transformed countless lives — both human and canine — by restoring peace, trust, and hope where it was once lost.
At DK9S Canine Rehabilitation and Custom Training, we believe in the power of collaboration, integrity, and knowledge sharing. While Angie leads the way in canine rehabilitation and training, she is equally passionate about mentoring the next generation of dog professionals through our internship program.
Interns receive real, hands-on experience — not just textbook theory. Under Angie’s direct guidance, they gain practical skills, confidence, and insight into what it truly takes to work with dogs — all without the pressure of tuition or financial barriers.
As DK9S continues to grow, Angie envisions expanding the team to include dedicated trainers who are aligned with our mission of compassion, clarity, and results — not gimmicks.
In this image is Dustin, a former intern with a true gift for animals. His focus and connection with each dog were extraordinary. We’re proud to share that he was accepted into veterinary school in Ireland — a powerful reflection of what passion and mentorship can lead to.
At DK9S Canine Rehabilitation and Custom Training, we’re more than a business — we’re a family united by experience, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to the dogs we serve.
Our mission is to create a world where every dog has a chance to be understood, every behavioral issue has a path forward, and every family experiences the deep bond that comes from trust, not fear.
But this journey isn’t ending here. In the background, something bigger is taking shape — a new vision rooted in healing, learning, and second chances for animals and people alike. While the full picture has yet to unfold, what’s ahead will be grounded in the same integrity and impact that defines DK9S.
If you believe in meaningful change — you’re already part of our mission.
Founder & Lead Trainer, DK9S Canine Rehabilitation and Custom Training
Angie Taylor is the heart and driving force behind DK9S. With decades of hands-on experience and an intuitive, compassionate approach to canine behavior, she has helped countless families navigate challenges like reactivity, aggression, anxiety, and fear.
Her work is grounded not only in lived experience but also in a deep respect for the connection between energy, emotion, and behavior. As a certified Reiki practitioner, Angie integrates calm, focused presence into her training sessions — often helping both dog and human find a more peaceful state of mind.
Angie also embraces gentle, natural supports where appropriate, such as calming essential oils and vibrational tools to help ease fear-based reactions in dogs. Her approach is subtle, non-invasive, and always centered around safety, trust, and emotional well-being — both for the animal and the family.
Whether she’s guiding a rehabilitation session, working with an intern, or simply sitting with a nervous dog who’s learning to trust again, Angie’s work is rooted in purpose, patience, and a belief that every dog deserves a chance to heal.
